During my internship in Versatest, I was working with E-learning tool case. I began with an audience and analogue analysis, which later led me to establish guidelines for interface design. The game is currently still in the development process.
PRODUCT
It is a mobile arcade game in which the objective is to save the main character Sausage from obstacles as long as possible to earn points. The player later can spend in-game points to customize their character – Sausage.
DESIGN GOALS
Create guidelines for the simple, playful & a bit cartoonish interface design.

DESIGN PROCESS
ANALYSIS
I started my analysis by trying out the game itself to get a better understanding of the product. Afterwards, I proceeded to make sketches for wireframes and along the process analyzed the arcade game genre, player base plus similar games like Pigeon pop, Run, Sausage run and Sausage Flip.
PROTOTYPING | VISUAL TREATMENT
In collaboration with Game Designer, we established important guidelines before proceeding to map out the user flow. The flow needed to have the following screens: loading, the main menu, character selection, gameplay and scoreboard. Afterwards I made multiple design variations for each mentioned screens and additional interface elements in them like buttons, cards, and carousels.
Selected designs have been put together in low-fidelity mockups and later – in an interactive prototype with selected colour palette and fonts.
OUTCOME
Established design guidelines with final prototype of interface design accelerated development process and eased playing experience.
About an year ago from finishing this project, I tried to improve final interface design following the same design requirements and guidelines.
WHAT I HAVE LEARNED
This project has helped broaden my design thinking level. I was also able to foster strong collaboration by working with other teams tackling challenges for the same product while it was still in its early development stages.
